Description

Gene Day and Jack Abel Master of Kung Fu #110 Story Page 11 Original Art (Marvel Comics, 1982). A masterful, late-in-life gem from Day, an Underground Comix pioneer who moved uptown to mainstream comics in a big way. Day's intense composition inspires a fine high-contrast job of inking from veteran Abel. The sequence involves an attack on a high-security base and features Ghost Maker with cameos by Shang Chi, Leiko, and Black Jack. Ink over graphite on Bristol board. Image area, 10" x 15". Light staining and crimping in pasted-in dialogue balloons. Excellent condition.
