Description

Bill Ward Gaze September-1961 Single Panel Gag Cartoon Illustration Original Art (Humorama, 1961).
"You want our most expensive suite... Well, actually it isn't a suite, it's a tiny room that overlooks the maid's bedroom." Talk about a room with a view! Although the maid looks a bit tired of that gag. Be sure to check out the great background on this work that features a gorgeous "Bill Ward Girl" with a lot of detail. Rendered in ink and Conte crayon over graphite with a bit of white paint highlights on 12.75" x 18" paper. The work has been affixed to a 14" x 20" production board backing with production tape. The tape is coming loose in places, and has yellowed. The board and paper are toned. Publication notes on the reverse indicate this was reprinted in the June-1971 issue of Laugh Digest, and possibly even once again after that as those notes are marked out also. Signed by Ward in the lower left of the image area. In Very Good condition.
