Description

Batman TV Series Prop Batmobile Phone Group (c. 1966). Two prop Batphones designed for the TV series Batmobile are included in this lot. One appears to be an actual prop, made of translucent red resin, working with plug-in flashing light in base and light in handset, signed in gold "Barris" (presumably Batmobile designer George Barris, although no certificate if authenticity is included); plus another Batmobile Batphone, done in red ceramic, with no light-up features. Both props show some handling wear and slight dings. Also included; a toy Batphone Hot-Line from Marx, dated 1966 (in Fair/Good condition), and a set of Sears Batman room to room telephones in orange plastic (both in Good; one with a loose wire connection), along with a photocopy of the original Sears catalog ad for the set. None are listed in Hake's. From the Ben Novack, Jr. Estate Collection.
