Description
Comic Album #3 Donald Duck - 10¢ Price Variant (Dell, 1958) Condition: VG. Donald Duck and family are featured. Tony Strobl cover and art. This copy is a bit unusual in that it states the price as "10¢ Now" instead of the usual "10¢". In 1957 and 1958 Dell published several regular issues with both 10¢ and 15¢ cover prices (and several Dell Giant issues with both 25¢ and 30¢ cover prices) in Arizona, California, and Nevada in order to test-market a price increase. Needless to say the experiment was not well-received, adn the "10¢ Now" designator appeared on at least nine known instances (including this one) during the transition back to the original, lower price.
