Famous Funnies #1 (Eastern Color, 1934) CGC Apparent FN 6.0 Moderate (B-3) Off-white to white pages. This comic is considered to be the first monthly newsstand comic book ever produced. Overstreet lists it as "rare", and the Photo-Journal Guide to Comics rates it a "9" ("very rare") in its Scarcity Index. It has a wraparound cover by Jon Mayes, and features comic strip reprints of Mutt and Jeff, The Bungle Family, Dixie Dugan (not Duggan as listed on the cover), Toonerville Folks, Tailspin Tommy, and many more. CGC notes, "Restoration includes: pieces added, cover cleaned, interior lightened, reinforced. From the collection of Jon Berk."
