Description
Picture Crimes #1 (David McKay Publications, 1937) CGC Apparent GD- 1.8 Slight (C-1) Cream to off-white pages. First issue of the very rare early comic-format book, similar in design and content to Detective Comics #1. The Photo-Journal Guide to Comics rates it a "7" ("scarce") on its Scarcity Index. Values are not listed in Overstreet, although they do note that a GD+ copy sold for $478 in 2012 and that a certified 5.5 copy sold for $2,051 in 2017. CGC notes, "Restoration includes: small amount of glue on spine of cover."CGC Grader Notes:
