Description

Little Hiawatha Animation Drawing (Walt Disney, 1937). Little Hiawatha was one of the breakout stars from the Silly Symphony shorts and spun off to star in both a syndicated comic strip and comic book series. This is an original 12 field 5-peghole production drawing of the young hunter who has a hard time keeping his pants up. Dave Hand directed this short, which was released on 5/15/37. The full figure image measuring 4.5" x 3" is rendered in graphite with red, green, and blue pencil highlights, and the page is marked 81 in the lower right corner. There are scene and inker notes to the right of the image. The piece shows minor handling; otherwise condition is Very Good.
