Description
Noel Sickles - Magazine Illustration Original Art Group of 2 (c. 1950s). The great Noel Sickles (remembered for his comic strip Scorchy Smith, and a great deal of illustrations for LIFE magazine) provided these two very different looks at beach fun. We think they are both gorgeous. Crafted in gouache on illustration board, both have been matted. The boating day-out illustration has an image area of 12.75" x 6", and the lovely mermaids have an image area of 12.5" x 4.25". With only light tanning, a one very minor bit of foxing, they are otherwise in Excellent condition.More information about Noel Sickles.
