George Tuska Scorchy Smith Daily Comic Strip Original Art dated 3-20-54 (Associated Press Newsfeatures, 1954). John Benson contemplates teaching Scorchy Smith a few aviation tricks in this high-flying daily, done in ink over graphite on Bristol board. Tuska, better known for his comic-book work in the genres of romance and superheroics, delivers some priceless facial expressions -- especially in Scorchy's reaction in the third panel. The piece has an image area of 18.25" x 5" and is in Excellent condition, with faint toning.
