Blackhawk #9 (Quality, 1944) CGC VG/FN 5.0 Off-white pages. The stars of Military Comics got their own quarterly mag with this issue, which took over the numbering of Uncle Sam Quarterly. The series would last an amazing 265 issues, with DC assuming the reins after Quality's demise. The cover of this debut issue is credited to Al Bryant. Overstreet 2006 VG 4.0 value = $722; FN 6.0 value = $1,083. CGC census 3/06: 3 in 5.0, 14 higher. From the Collection of Harold Curtis.
