Description

Walt Disney's Wonderful World of Color Ludwig Von Drake Production Cel (Walt Disney, 1961). "For the occasion I wore this vest. Especially for you people with colorblind TV sets, I'm going to describe this beautiful vest to you. Red and blue, there's orange..." Professor Ludwig Von Drake begins his very first rambling, silly and still very informative lecture in his premiere appearance as a host of Walt Disney's Wonderful World of Color in the segment "An Adventure in Color". In 1961, Ludwig Von Drake was the first Disney animated character created for television, and he was voiced by Disney Legend Inductee Paul Frees who gave him his memorable and distinct absent-minded German professor characteristics. This great hand-painted original production cel can be seen at the 7:14 mark of the episode. Ludwig measures 3.5" x 5" and is centered on the cel. The piece is framed under glass with a mat window size of 11" x 9.5" and an overall frame size of 17" x 15.5". The frame is sold as is, and the cel shows minor handling wear. Condition is Very Good.
