Curt Swan and Murphy Anderson Superman #237 Story Pages 18-19 Original Art (DC, 1971). The Man of Steel confronts the Man of Sand... the "Sand Superman" created just four issues previously, when all Kryptonite on Earth was turned into Lead. The same process "blasted" a large portion of Superman's essence into the sand beneath him, thus creating the Sand Creature who saps Kal-El's powers every time they are close together. A great two-page sequence from a key story arc of the early Bronze Age, Page 19 is three large panels and well worth taking a look at it! Created by Team Swanderson in ink over graphite on Bristol boards with an image area of 10" x 15" each. The boards are lightly toned, with some production tape in the lower right of Page 19. In Very Good condition. From the Murphy Anderson Collection.
