The Sport! holds the highest grade of any example of this variant listed on Wata's September 2025 population report, out of only 13 recorded copies. Among the two recognized variants, this earlier version is notably scarcer, as the later production run shows 23 graded examples-making this more desirable of the two for many collectors. Based on the 1985 action-comedy film Gotcha! starring Anthony Edwards, the game brought the fun of paintball to life with vibrant visuals and NES Zapper support. As one of the earliest video games to focus on paintball, it helped pave the way for future arena-style shooters.
