Pokémon Japanese Topsun Set Group of 3 PSA Trading Card Game PR 1 (Topsun, 1995) Holofoil. Before being released by Wizards of the Coast in the United States, Pokémon was already a phenomenon in Japan. Topsun cards, one of the earliest examples of Pokémon characters on cards, came inside packages containing two pieces of bubble gum and two cards. The packs were used as a promotional product in Japan to see if people would collect cards with Pokémon on them. I guess we know the answer to that! Offered in this lot is a group of 3 cards from the rare holographic inserts, which were included with the original cards starting in June of 1997. All 3 have been graded PSA Poor 1 and include Pikachu 25, Jolteon 135, and Dragonite 149.
