Extraordinary assortment of five production cel and seven animation drawings from You're a Good Sport, Charlie Brown, the 14th prime-time Peanuts television special, which first aired on CBS on October 28, 1975. This fantastic collection captures key moments from the special's motocross race sequence, featuring Charlie Brown, Snoopy (as "The Masked Marvel"), Peppermint Patty, Linus, Sally, and more. Each cel is hand-painted on 12-field acetate and paired with the original graphite production drawings on 12 field animation paper, offering a rare look into the meticulous animation process used by Bill Melendez Productions. Directed by Phil Roman and produced by Bill Melendez, this Emmy-winning special follows the Peanuts gang as they compete in a chaotic motocross event filled with comic misadventures, culminating in Charlie Brown's unlikely victory and Linus's lesson that persistence is the real prize. Highlights include an outstanding cel of Snoopy in his Masked Marvel disguise. The cels and drawings show light production wear with edge wear and smudging; one cel has the lower-left corner trimmed. These production-used pieces are in Good condition-a superb, display-worthy archive of Peanuts animation history.
