NFL Expansion and LA Colosseum Revitalization Project - Original Concept/Pitch Art Gouache on 36" x 21" Board by Landmark Entertainment (LEG, c. 1990s). This impressive original concept and pitch artwork was created for the NFL expansion and Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum revitalization project of the late 1990s. Rendered in gouache on 36" x 21" illustration board, the dynamic bird's-eye view captures Landmark Entertainment Group's bold vision for reimagining the Coliseum as a next-generation sports and entertainment destination. At the time, Los Angeles was a leading contender for a new NFL expansion franchise, with the Coliseum positioned as the frontrunner venue. Landmark, renowned for its themed entertainment expertise, was enlisted not for structural redesign but to elevate the overall fan experience. Their concepts envisioned themed concourses, fan interaction zones, dramatic pageantry on arrival, immersive pre-game shows, and multimedia spectaculars, all designed to deliver an atmosphere rivaling the intensity of the game itself. Though Los Angeles was ultimately unable to meet the NFL's requirements, and the 1999 expansion franchise went to Houston (becoming the Texans), Landmark's visionary renderings remain a fascinating artifact of this ambitious bid. Presented in Very Good condition with residue in the top margin and mild corner damage. A unique piece of sports and design history.
