Peanuts It Was a Short Summer, Charlie Brown Charlie Brown and Snoopy Production Cel Setup with Production Background (Bill Melendez, 1969). "Actually I had planned for you to help me with the paddling" says Charlie Brown to Snoopy at the start of the Summer Camp canoe race. This is a production cel setup of Charlie Brown and Snoopy in their canoe from the sixth Charles Schulz Peanuts television special which premiered in 1969. They are hand-inked and hand-painted on 12 field cels presented over a Pantone color card production background with pegholes; the water waves are on a hand-painted cel overlay spanning the full width of the setup. The combined main image measures approximately 3" x 4" and Snoopy looks fantastic in a Davy Crockett hat. There are a few small paint chips in back of canoe; otherwise, condition is Very Good.
