Wonderful World of Oz - Proposed Theme Park "The Great Imperial 3-D Wonder Show of Oz" Original Concept Storyboard-Style/Pitch Art by William Stout for Landmark Entertainment (LEG, 1999). This fantastic original concept/pitch artwork was created by William Stout for The Great Imperial 3-D Wonder Show of Oz, a proposed headline attraction at Landmark Entertainment Group's unbuilt Wonderful World of Oz theme park. Rendered in gouache on 20.5" x 30" illustration board, the storyboard-style piece features eight panels, each depicting key scenes from the spectacular. Signed and dated January 18, 1999, it captures the cinematic scope of the show, blending bold design with rich narrative detail. Planned as a large-format 3D media spectacular in the Emerald City district, the Wonder Show would have combined stereoscopic film, in-theatre effects (wind, mist, and lighting), practical scenic reveals, and even live performers to blur film and stage. Guests would enter an ornate Imperial Theatre styled after the Wizard's court, where the Wizard himself introduced the marvels of Oz before a dramatic interruption by the Wicked Witch. The finale, aided by Dorothy and her friends, ended with a triumphant musical flourish and a brilliant emerald glow. Though never built, this rare Stout rendering remains a striking artifact of Landmark's visionary storytelling and theatrical innovation. In Very Good condition.
