As a bonus to UG fans, Larry (Dr. Atomic) Todd's infamous comix classic "Vampironica", not reprinted since the first printing of Cherry Poptart #1 in 1982, is included alongside a new story by Fogel and Vampirooni creator Randy Vogel. Dan Fogel is a veteran retailer with three decades of front-line comic book selling and distribution experience, and an Overstreet Comic Book Price Guide advisor and contributor for 20 years. As an Underground Comix writer and editor, he worked with Cherry creator Larry Welz on what was the best-selling Adult comic for a decade, and was published by Last Gasp, Kitchen Sink Press, Tundra Publishing Ltd., and Slave Labor Graphics, among others. As a publisher the past 10 years, Fogel has printed the work of dozens of top Underground and mainstream artists such as R. Crumb, Gilbert Shelton, S. PC Compatible only (sorry no Macs), Windows 95 or later operating system, Adobe Acrobat Reader 7.0 or later (For best results, install Adobe Acrobat Reader prior to installing this software.), and 80 MB of hard drive space is required to install the guide. NOTE: When the Comic Price Guide is installed, it is installed on and licensed to one single computer. The PDF cannot be copied to or viewed on another computer, and the installer will not reinstall the file on another computer. Once installed, the Comic Price Guide can be viewed only on the computer on which the installation was run. You must be online when you install the file so that your Order ID can be verified. Frequently Asked Questions Q: I am using Adobe Acrobat Reader version 8.0 and my guide isn't working. Why? A: Your Adobe Reader is missing a plug-in required to run the price guide. Download the plug-in FOpen32.api and save it into the following folder on your computer: C:\Program Files\Adobe\Acrobat 7.0\Reader\plug_ins. The Overstreet guide should work now. Q: I am using Adobe Acrobat Reader version 7.0 and my guide isn't working. Why? A: Your Adobe Reader is missing a plug-in required to run the price guide. Download the plug-in FOpen32.api and save it into the following folder on your computer: C:\Program Files\Adobe\Acrobat 7.0\Reader\plug_ins. The Overstreet guide should work now. Q: If this is a PDF, why won't it work on my Mac? A: Although an Adobe PDF file is a cross platform file, the encryption technology employed to protect a PDF is an .EXE file, and is required for secure installation. This .EXE file is only available for the PC. Q: The download hung, what do I do? A: There is about a 30-45 second period when the download appears to hang. You should wait this out if at all possible. If you have already quit the download in the middle of this period, please try it again. Q: Do I have to install this on the computer I downloaded it on? A: The software can be installed on a computer other than the one it was downloaded on. However, once installed, it cannot be installed on another computer. Q: I entered my confirmation number and the installation program hung. Why? A: Since the installation program must verify that you have a valid confirmation number, you must be on line when you install this program. Q: I received an error message stating that I am missing an Adobe Component for this download, and I can't find it on Adobe's site. Where do I find this download? A: In general, the plug-in that is most likely the problem is called "File_open." You can install the needed plug-in from www.fileopen.com/handlers/fopnflock.html. If this doesn't work, you may have to reinstall Adobe and then install the File_open plug-in. |
