Description:
Batman #1 (DC, 1940) CGC VG- 3.5 Cream to off-white pages. One of the select few issues that -- in any condition -- makes the comic collector's heart skip a beat. It's currently #6 on Overstreet's Top 100 Golden Age Books list, and moving up. Notoriously tough to find in high grade -- we've only offered two unrestored copies that CGC has certified in higher grades in more than two years. Bob Kane and Jerry Robinson combined for the classic cover and interior art for this issue, which features the first appearances of both the Joker and the Cat (Catwoman). Overstreet 2012 VG 4.0 value = $34,000. CGC census 2/13: 7 in 3.5, 31 higher.
