Description
Jim Steranko Ace of the White Death G-B and His Battle Aces Preliminary Paperback Cover Illustration Original Art (Berkely, 1970). Trapped by a diabolical ruse, G-8, America's flying spy must escape his captors in time to prevent the deadliest enemy attack of the war. Only his Spad, his guns, and his nerve stand between the Allies and the grisly, invincible assault of The White Death!" This detailed preliminary is accompanied with a letter from Steranko to pulp expert Ernest Toth, thanking Toth for helping him photograph the pulps for the History of Comics. The lot also includes the original mailing envelope, along with a 1970 want list of Shadow pulps that Steranko still needed.
