Description

Warren Kremer Black Cat Mystery #45 "Colorama" Cover Preliminary/Concept Sketch Original Art Group (Harvey, 1953). What could be more thrilling for a Harvey horror fan than this full-color Warren Kremer prelim for the famous "Colorama" story in issue #45? Warren Kremer achieved this disorienting "warped space" effect by first drawing a self-portrait on another sheet of paper, crumpling it up, and then basing this cover design on that distressed model. This 7.25" x 10.25" mixed media (ink and colored pencil) on vellum piece has some overall glue staining, wear, and creasing, and it has been mounted to a piece of support paper; otherwise, it is in Good condition. Also included with this lot are two printer's proofs of the finished cover (one has been three-hole punched).
