Description

John Romita Sr. Amazing Spider-Man Specialty Illustration Original Art (c. 1960s). Wallopin' web-spinners -- here comes your friendly neighborhood Spider-Man! Like the Jack Kirby specialty piece offered in this auction, this one comes from the gentleman who was the insurance agent for both "Jazzy John" and "The King," and has held onto the art for the ensuing decades. This beautifully inked full-color masterwork from the prime-time era of the sixties has an overall size of 14" x 21". This spectacular specialty piece has been slightly lightstruck, and aside from some tape residue in the upper border (outside of the image area), the art is in Excellent condition. Signed at the lower center-left.
