Daredevil #1-40 CGC-Graded Group - Bowling Green pedigree (Marvel, 1964-68). The Marvel Age of Comics was officially launched when Fantastic Four #1 hit the stands in late 1961. A flurry of new and exciting superheroes followed in rapid succession, from Ant-Man to the Hulk, from Spider-Man to Thor, Iron Man to Dr. Strange, and X-Men, all within a span of two years, as Marvel gained ground on DC, the company that was most responsible for the advent of Comics' Silver Age.But Marvel wasn't done. In early 1964, Stan Lee and Co. came out with one of their most original characters, Daredevil - The Man Without Fear! With eye-popping art from the likes of Jack Kirby, Bill Everett, Joe Orlando, and Wally Wood on the early issues, and beginning with issue #20, Gene Colan, who would make the character his own, the character and title became a Marvel staple.
