Description

House of Mystery #174 Savannah pedigree (DC, 1968) CGC NM+ 9.6 Off-white pages. A key issue that's still a sleeper just like House of Secrets #81 (offered in this same auction), and for the same reason: it's the first issue of the title's return to the horror/mystery format that makes it so collectible in the first place. The previous issue had the wacky "Dial H for Hero," for goodness' sake! Also, #174 probably has the best-remembered cover of the run, it's by Joe Orlando and George Roussos. Overstreet 2010 NM- 9.2 value = $200. CGC census 4/11: 7 in 9.6, none higher.

View the certification for CGC Certification ID 1042836004, including grader's notes if available and a link to the latest full census report for the issue.*
