Man of War #1 (Centaur, 1941) CGC FN/VF 7.0 Off-white pages. This is a very scarce title from the early Golden Age publisher, Centaur. The beautiful, patriotic flag cover is by Paul Gustavson. There is some light shadowing around the edges, but the corners are sharp and the colors are vivid. This is a striking book from an extremely scarce and collectible publisher, from the height of the Golden Age. Fire-Man, Man of War, Sentinel, Liberty Guards, and Vapo-Man begin. Bob Lubbers, George Wilson, and Art Helfant art. Overstreet 2010 FN 6.0 value = $504; VF 8.0 value = $1,075. CGC census 10/10: 3 in 7.0, 4 higher.
