The Flash #105 Savannah pedigree (DC, 1959) CGC VF 8.0 Cream to off-white pages. Just a few copies of the first issue of the Silver Age Flash have received higher grades from CGC to date, not surprising to vintage Silver Age collectors who have made this one of the most in-demand DC issues of the late 1950s. It took four try-out issues in Showcase and 30 months before DC cautiously took the plunge with this premiere issue, which would precipitate a proliferation of revived Golden Age superheroes -- and brand-new ones, too -- first from DC, then with Marvel. If the numbering of this "first" issue (#105) is puzzling, it's because it picked up where Flash Comics left off when it folded back in 1949. The origin of the Flash is retold, and the issue has the origin and first appearance of Mirror Master. Carmine Infantino cover and art. Overstreet 2010 VF 8.0 value = $4,800.
