Description

Sub-Mariner Comics #1 (Timely, 1941) CGC VG/FN 5.0 Cream to off-white pages. This solid copy appears nicer than a VG/FN, but two detached center wraps keep it down in grade. There is no tape on this solid mid-grade copy, and the pages are a nice cream to off-white--nothing brittle at all about this important Timely key. The colors are bright, the staples are secure, and the central cover image is clean and intact. One of the very first comic book superheroes, it is difficult to overstate the importance of the Sub-Mariner in the Marvel Universe. Misanthropic, xenophobic, and usually misunderstood, Prince Namor has been an integral part of Marvel for 63 years. Art by Bill Everett and Paul Gustavson. Overstreet 2002 GD 2.0 value = $2,357; FN 6.0 value = $7,070.
