Description

Tales of Suspense #39 (Marvel, 1963) CGC VF 8.0 Cream to off-white pages. After the introduction over the previous 16 months of such groundbreaking superheroes from Marvel as Fantastic Four, Spider-Man, Thor, Ant-Man, and Hulk, this title finally introduced one of its own with this issue. Naturally, Jack Kirby was tapped to do the cover, and the nearly equally veteran Don Heck was enlisted to assist Kirby on the interior. The pale green background of the front cover makes this one a challenge to find in high grade, and CGC has awarded a grade of NM 9.4 or better to only three copies to date. Overstreet 2003 VF 8.0 value = $2,952.
