Description

Carmine Infantino - Original Batmobile Promotional Illustrations (undated). Created for Warner Bros. licensing department, during the release of the first Batman movie, this stunning illustration was drawn by DC legend, Carmine Infantino. The Batmobile sits on a side street, deep in the heart of seedy, steamy Gotham City against a skyline filled with Art Deco-esque buildings and skylights. Overall size for this piece is 14" x 20" with an image area of 13.5" x 17.75". The other illustration gives us a fast and furious image of an approaching Batmobile set against a claustrophobic view of Gotham, giving the sense that the city is about to come crashing down on you. The overall size for this piece is 11" 17" with an image area of 10.5" x 15". Each of these works are rich in texture, with plenty of attention to detail. A beautiful, brilliant, Batman bonanza!
