Description

Mort Walker - Original Art Print of Miss Buxley (undated). Camp Swampy's curvaceous cutey, Miss Buxley, reveals all in this whimsical nude print by Beetle Baily creator Mort Walker. Quite controversial at the time of its release, charges of sexism in Beetle Baily (perhaps exacerbated by this print) had caused Walker to almost totally redesign Miss Buxley, making her less of a sex symbol and more of a career woman. This print was originally issued in an edition limited to 100 pieces; offered here is the far rarer Artists Proof (AP). The piece measures approximately 24.25" x 19" and is in excellent condition. It is signed by the artist in pencil in the lower left corner.
