Description
Four Color Cartoon Characters Bound Volume (Dell, 1949-52). Although the spine says "Dell Disney," this bound volume actually contains issues of Four Color devoted to a number of cartoon characters. Included are copies of #256, 275, 282, 348, 367, 379, 394, 408, and #422 (all featuring Donald Duck, most with stories and/or art by Carl Barks); 456 and #495 (Uncle Scrooge stories and art by Barks); 327 and #347 (Bugs Bunny issues); 304 and #411 (Mickey Mouse stories); 241, 360, and #426 (Porky Pig books); and #305 (Woody Woodpecker); plus #361 (Santa Claus Funnies), trimmed and hardbound with the previous owner's embossed name on the cover. The comics are in nice condition, with appreciable creasing to some of the covers and a mild to moderate amount of page tanning. Overstreet 2006 VG 4.0 value for group = $874.Auction Info
