The Amazing Spider-Man #1 (Marvel, 1963) CGC Apparent VG 4.0 Extensive (P) Off-white pages. Prices for restored copies of this book have been extremely strong lately, and why not -- it's the first issue of the most collected series in all of comics. The issue retells Spider-Man's origin and has the first appearances of John Jameson, J. Jonah Jameson, and the Chameleon. Steve Ditko drew the cover and illustrated Stan Lee's story. CGC notes, "Restoration includes: color touch, pieces added, tear seals, cover cleaned, reinforced." Overstreet 2006 GD 2.0 value = $975; VG 4.0 value = $1,950.
