Roy Crane and Hank Schlensker - Buz Sawyer Daily Comic Strip Original Art, Group of 8 (King Features Syndicate, 1976-78). Buz Sawyer is a powerful testament to the genius of Roy Crane, a master of the action-adventure comic strip. Crane's direct, simple style, and crisp, detailed line work, is accented by duotone to create depth of perspective, and new dimensions to lighting. Included are dailies from 5-24-76, 6-5-76,1-3-77, 1-12-78, 1-16-78, 1-18-78, 1-19-78, and 2-6-78. This strips are signed Roy Crane, but assistant Hank Schlensker took most of the art responsibility for the strip after 1970. The strips have an image area of 15" x 4.75" and average in Excellent condition.Auction Info
