Marvel Mystery Comics #2 (Timely, 1939) CGC Apparent VF/NM 9.0 Extensive (P) Off-white to white pages. If the grade were Universal, this copy would be tied as the finest known. As it is, CGC hasn't seen a better looking restored copy to date. Currently ranked as the 26th most valuable Golden Age comic book by Overstreet, as well as "rare," the pre-1940 comic featured interior art by Carl Burgos and Bill Everett. CGC notes, "Restoration includes: color touch, pieces added, tear seals, cleaned, reinforced." Overstreet 2008 GD 2.0 value = $2,750; VG 4.0 value = $5,500; FN 6.0 value = $8,250; VF 8.0 value = $20,500; VF/NM 9.0 value = $37,750.
