Superman #1 (DC, 1939) CGC GD 2.0 Tan to off-white pages. A truly historical book, Superman #1 arrived scarcely a year after the Man of Steel's first appearance in Action #1, proving his meteoric rise in popularity. Superman's appearance heralded the start of the superhero genre's popularity, and his own series was the first comic devoted to a single character. Superman #1 is one of the most sought-after books in our hobby, and it is extremely rare to own one in unrestored condition. Despite having a detached centerfold and cover, the book has rich colors and presents well in the CGC holder. Considering that Superman #1 is listed as the third most valuable comic by Overstreet, this copy is relatively affordable in it's present condition. CGC notes, "Cover and centerfold detached."
