Description
Dick Tracy's Bonny Braids Baby Doll NMIB (Ideal Toys, 1951). "America's new darling from the world-famous Dick Tracy comic strip" is immortalized in this 14-inch doll from Ideal. Bonny Braids has a vinyl head and soft, "magic skin" latex-jointed rubber arms; painted-on yellow hair with two yellow saran pigtails; a long white gown and a pink bed jacket; a toothbrush tied to her wrist with a ribbon; the original "Dick Tracy's Bonny Braids" tag around her wrist; and an inside "hand-printed" note reading, "Dear Mother..." The 9" x 17" x 4" box displays Dick Tracy comic strips showing Bonny's birth and development. The doll is in wonderful shape, with light dirt smudges on the forehead; the box is in fair to good condition; the lid (top) is complete and its colors are vivid, but it is split at the top and bottom edges.
