Description

All Star Comics #5 (DC, 1941) CGC VF+ 8.5 Off-white to white pages. Howard Purcell's covers were fewer and further between than those of other "name" DC artists, but his creations were invariably impressive. Sheldon Moldoff and Bernard Baily backed up Purcell with classic art on the Justice Society. This is a very pretty copy with rich, bright cover colors and just a bit of edge wear to prevent an even higher grade from CGC. Overstreet 2005 VF 8.0 value = $3,073; VF/NM 9.0 value = $4,937. CGC census 9/05: 3 in 8.5, 4 higher.

CGC Grader Notes:
