Sub-Mariner Comics #3 (Timely, 1941) CGC VG 4.0 Off-white to white pages. Some Axis types are trying to assassinate Winston Churchill! Since the Sub-Mariner doesn't have a word balloon on this cover, let us provide one: "Here's some blood, toil, tears, and sweat for ya, Rat-zi!" The cover scene's by Alex Schomburg, of course. Inside the comic, Subby's story is a whopping 40-pager; we wish comics today even had 40 pages! CGC notes, "1 piece of tape on spine of cover." Overstreet 2005 VG 4.0 value = $846. CGC census 9/05: 1 in 4.0, 8 higher.
