Roger Armstrong Preliminary Comic Strip, Comic Book, and Illustration Original Art Group (various, 1936-85). Fifty years of Roger Armstrong's cartooning career are represented in this eclectic group lot. Included are four character color pencil on paper sketches of Mary Jane and Sniffles, a H. R. Pufnstuf comic book page preliminary drawing, drawn on vellum, four Powder Bill try-out daily strips, a Sweetie Pie daily tryout strip, an Odd Bodkins daily try-out strip, a Kit and Kenny try-out daily strip, three unfinished Honey West daily strips, two unfinished The Simples daily strips, an unfinished daily strip featuring two dogs, an unfinished Scamp daily strip, and a penciled Scamp Sunday comic strip. These pieces range in overall size from 7.5" x 9.5" to 12" x 17.5", and they average Very Good condition.Auction Info
