Description

Frank Frazetta After the Fox Movie Poster Illustration Original Art (United Artists, 1966). The great Frank Frazetta is famously-known for his fantasy and science-fiction themed paintings, many of which were used as paperback covers, and for his early work in comic book illustration. But he also created fantastic movie posters, albeit regrettably few, all much-prized by collectors. One of his earliest was this one for the Peter Sellers comedy, costarring Victor Mature and Sellers' real-life love, Britt Ekland, to which Frazetta lends a style similar to his very first movie poster creation, What's New, Pussycat? , released the previous year. Frazetta's painting for After the Fox was used for the window card, the six-sheet, and the British quad poster, as well as for the cover of the soundtrack LP. The art is in ink and watercolor on illustration board. with an image area of approximately 26.75" x 16.75". In Very Good condition, with some minor staining and tanning of the board.
