George McManus Bringing Up Father Sunday Comic Strip Original Art dated 3-24-40 (King Features Syndicate, 1940). The Bringing Up Father characters took a tour of the United States in the late thirties and early forties. This wide-ranging Sunday features landmarks of famous American cities, and in this charming episode, Jiggs and Maggie review photographs of their travels to Washington D. C., Atlantic City, Weehawken, San Francisco, New York, and Albuquerque. There are detailed drawings of the famous landmarks along with several crowd scenes, a George McManus specialty. This dazzling piece has an image area of approximately 16" x 15", and the piece has been matted and framed to an overall size of 25" x 24". The art is in Excellent condition.
