Whiz Comics #2 (#1) (Fawcett, 1940) CGC Apparent FN/VF 7.0 Extensive (P) Cream to off-white pages. In the day - those Golden Age '40s - Captain Marvel rivaled Superman as the most popular superhero in comics. That makes this issue super-significant because it has the origin and first appearance of Fawcett's Cap, as well that of Sivana, Golden Arrow, Dan Dare, Lance O'Casey, Spy Smasher, and Ibis. As recently as the mid-1970s, this key was ranked as the fourth most valuable Golden Age comic book of all!
