Charles Schulz - Peanuts Sunday Comic Strip Original Art, dated 7-26-59 (United Feature Syndicate, 1959). Here's a spectacular showpiece for any Peanuts or best-of-the-best comic strip art collector -- an unforgettable, classic episode from the epic battle between Snoopy and Linus over possession of Linus' beloved blanket, without a single word balloon. Charlie Brown cameos in the final panel. The image area of this rock 'em-sock 'em Sunday measures 22.5" x 15". This strip was folded in half, vertically through its center. The syndicate copyright notice strip and the date have been whited-out, most likely by production artists, as was typically done with the most popular strips, for a reprint book collection of Peanuts strips. This superb piece has had some paper fill-in restoration to the back of the paper, and the strip was professionally cleaned; the art is in overall Very Good condition.More information about Charles Schulz.
