Circa 1990s Wade Boggs Game Used Signed Bat. The perennial .300 hitter Wade Boggs was simply stunning with the lumber, winning five AL batting titles. Offered here is one of his preferred tools of the trade, a black Rawlings Big Stick 456B Wade Boggs Yankees model, dating it from the years 1993-97. As to be expected from a gamer from Boggs, ball marks are abound, with a thin layer of pine tar applied to the handle. Boggs' jersey number "12" appears on the knob, along with "32 Boggs" written in black ink. Sweetening the deal, the HOFer has applied his 9/10 signature to the barrel of this fine game used example. LOA's from PSA/DNA (game use) and JSA (autograph).
Ruben Sierra Signed Game Used Bat. This Louisville Slugger Pro Model G157 was wielded by baseball veteran Ruben Sierra. Bat shows light but definite use and a chunk is missing from the barrel, no doubt from a cut taken by the slugger. Sierra has also applied his signature in 10/10 blue sharpie to the barrel. LOA from PSA/DNA.
Early 1980's Pawtucket Red Sox Game Worn Jersey Attributed to Wade Boggs. As a college ballplayer, when every other batter was using aluminum, Boggs was the only hitter to use wood. His explanation was simple--when he got to the Major Leagues, he'd have to use wood, so why not start now? Presented here is an artifact from another step on the road to the Big Leagues, and eventual Hall of Fame immortality. This red and white mesh jersey from the BoSox Pawtucket farm team was once worn by this 3,000 Hit Club member before he had recorded MLB hit number one. "Pawtucket Red Sox" is screened to the chest, with Boggs' number "18" screened on verso. "Wilson [size] L" tag is inside collar. Included is a letter of provenance from a Pawtucket front office member attesting to Boggs' use of the shirt. An exciting chance at a rare Hall of Fame "pre-rookie!" MEARS Authentic. LOA from MEARS. LOA from Lou Lampson.
1926 World Series Game Six Ticket Stub. A masterful pitching performance from G.C. Alexander forced a decisive seventh game with a Cardinals win at Yankee Stadium on this date. Stub shows some staining and general wear but still presents nicely.
1969 World Series Game One Full Ticket. Unused ducat could have been utilized to gain entry to this historic Series that will forever be remembered for the Amazin' Mets and their miraculous World Championship. Graded VG-EX 4 by PSA.
1960 through 1984 Boston Red Sox Yearbook Run (30). First and second editions are present, accounting for the fact that there are more publications here than there were seasons in Yaz' career. And in tribute to the man who owned the hearts of Fenway before Yastrzemski, we also offer the final yearbook to feature Ted Williams. Best in the collection is the yearbook for the Impossible Dream season of '67, which features perfect red ink signatures from Ted Williams, Sal Maglie, Jim Lonborg and nine more. Overall condition averages a very consistent NRMT. LOA from PSA/DNA.
1948 All-Star Game Press Pin. Sportsman's Park served as the venue for this historic battle between Musial and Mize of the Nationals and DiMaggio and Williams of the Americans. A three-run fourth for the latter proved to be the difference, as the A.L. claimed a five to two victory. This tough gold and enamel pin bore witness to this convergence of greatness, remaining in marvelous NRMT condition over half a century later. So often missing from old press pins, this example even has the button that screws onto the threaded post, with its stamped "St. Louis Button Co." maker's mark. Enamel remains complete and uncracked, with just the slightest touch of wear to the golden edges to suggest its age.
1961 "Casey at the Bat" Manuscript Lot from the Casey Stengel Collection. An intriguing inside look at the creation of the definitive Casey Stengel autobiography. Present are five chapters of the typewritten manuscript from the hands of The Saturday Evening Post reporter and Stengel's "ghost writer" Harry T. Paxton. Each chapter is stamped with the date and the Post's name on the first page. Interestingly, Stengel has used the back of the final page of Chapter Five to make some handwritten notes of a very personal nature, with partial text reading "Sign contract; but if my health or setback would arrise (sic) up to two months of the opening of the season would resign...prefer not to sign and retire from active manageing (sic)." The original mailing envelope also has some handwritten notes from Casey. Also here is the plastic bound uncorrected proof of the book direct from Random House. This was Stengel's last chance to read and make corrections or suggestions before going to print, though the complete lack of notations indicates that Casey liked what he saw. Each piece in this lot shows a minor degree of wear but remains solid and complete and bursting with appeal.

1948 Marques Haynes Signed Harlem Globetrotters Contract from the Marques Haynes Collection. From the early days of professional basketball, here is Marques Haynes' copy of his contract with the Harlem Globetrotters covering the period from Thanksgiving Day, 1948 (that's what it says!), until March 31, 1949. This was to be Marques' second season with the team. It spelled out the agreement to pay Marques the sum of $400 per month (even then, not a whole lot of money), plus expenses. A pretty good deal for the team, given that Marques was the best dribbler and one of the overall best guards in professional basketball at any level. Looking closely at the agreement text, you can see in section (4), a provision calling for "the player" to report to the owner three weeks prior to Thanksgiving Day for "training," during which the player would receive "meals, lodging and transportation" --but no pay!!! Times have changed a bit. This was a fairly one-sided deal structured by the legendary founder of the Globetrotters and one of the pioneers of early professional basketball, Abe Saperstein. On the second page, the contract is signed boldly by A.M. Saperstein (9.5/10) and Marques Haynes (8.5/10). This is a truly historical document, one of the building blocks in a legendary team and the career of a great Hall of Fame player. LOA from PSA/DNA.

1978 Muhammad Ali/Leon Spinks Full Ticket PSA EX 5. After surrendering his World Heavyweight Championship belt to Spinks exactly seven months earlier in Las Vegas, the great Muhammad Ali won it back in another fifteen-round bout, this time at New Orleans' Superdome. It would be the last victory in the storied career of The Greatest. This unused ticket for the event remains in fine condition, with corner wear the only noteworthy flaw. Slabbed by PSA in an EX 5 holder for protection and unquestioned authenticity.
1909 Jim Jeffries Boxing Playing Cards Set. Complete deck of fifty-two cards pictures the former Heavyweight Champ on the back of each, with the fronts each bearing a different photographic image of period fighters, all in fighting poses inside and outside the ring. Everyone is here from Jeffries himself, to Gans and Nelson, to Corbett, Sullivan and a Jack Johnson card with a particularly politically incorrect caption below the image. Cards show mild toning but are otherwise undamaged and ready for a game of poker. The original box is tattered but complete. A highly collectible early boxing artifact.

Alworth has nearly filled an entire panel of this Wilson souvenir football with a huge signature and the previously mentioned nickname. He has also added his retired San Diego Chargers "#19" as well as "HOF 78." LOA from PSA/DNA.

1963 Dave Wilcox Game Worn University of Oregon Jersey from the Dave Wilcox Collection. We all know how tough Hall of Fame jerseys are, but the supply thins dramatically from that small supply when considering those Cantonites' college gamers. Here we present a white cotton road jersey worn by Wilcox as a member of the Oregon Ducks during his senior year. Number "64" is screened on front and verso, and the jersey shows punishing wear, with numerous repaired and unrepaired cuts and tears suffered on the NCAA gridiron, dozens in all. Some paint loss to the rear numeral appears to be the work of both wear and age. Anonymous "XL" label is present in the tail, which extends to encompass a button crotch piece. Even earlier than the coveted "rookie jersey," this one is a rare opportunity for the advanced collector that wishes to set himself apart from the pack. LOA from Lou Lampson.
Mid-1970's WFL Memphis Grizzlies Game Worn Helmet. Tough headgear from this short-lived competitor to the NFL was used by a member of the Grizzlies, though we cannot be sure of the exact player due to an absence of identifiers. Facemask is missing. Helmet shows exceptional wear. Suspension system intact. Size 7 1/4.

1924 Kentucky Derby Golden Jubilee Panoramic Photograph. The pomp and pageantry of the Sport of Kings' most celebrated event is masterfully captured in this exceptional photograph entitled "Going to the Post," which pictures the horses parading to the start gate in front of a packed Churchill Downs grandstand. Small inset vignettes feature the horses crossing the finish line, and the Derby winning team of Black Gold and jockey John Mooney receiving the victor's flowered wreath post-race. Text at bottom right reads, "1924 Golden Anniversary - Kentucky Derby - Churchill Downs - Louisville. Caulfield & Shoon - Photo - Louisville, KY, Copyright 1924." The photo measures 9x28.5", and presents wonderfully, with just a few very minor and unobtrusive stains, and a small one-inch chip missing from the lower border. Framed to overall dimensions of 12x31".
