From time to time, Steve Geppi has released small portions from his inventory as a response to pent-up demand for high quality copies of key comics. This is the first time, however, that he has released this quantity through one outlet. The selection includes a substantial volume of Golden Age classics and significant Silver Age comics, as well as part of his highly sought original comic art and movie poster holdings.
“I observe that Heritage is bringing to comics the same levels of professionalism and expertise previously associated with them elsewhere in the world of collectibles, and so I decided to get involved,” Geppi said. “They’re attracting new players into our market in a way that I believe is good for all involved. To get and keep these new enthusiasts interested is an effort that requires a diverse sampling of what our market has to offer. In teaming with Heritage for these auctions, I’m certain that we’re presenting a superb variety of vintage comics and comic character items in a highly refined, exciting way that will be sure to please my longtime friends, fellow collectors and newcomers to the field.”
Fortunately there is still time to get consignments into Heritage’s Signature and Amazing Comics Auctions™ sales this year, to sell alongside highlights from the legendary Steve Geppi collection. The published deadline for Heritage’s July Wizard World Chicago 2002 Signature Sale is May 10, but earlier is better, because space is limited and nearly filled.
