Description:
Nick Cardy Fight Comics # 20 Senorita Rio Page 17 Original Art (Fiction House, 1942). Senorita Rio breaks out of jail, knocks a guard out with a rock and prepares to disrupt a "Hitleresque" torchlight parade -- and she does it all, wearing a short skirt and high heels, in typical Fiction House style. Nick Cardy makes it all look easy, as well as pretty. This sizzler has an image area 18" x 13". There are blue pencil marks in each panel, white-out used to delete the borders in one panel, and two ink blots in last panel; otherwise, the art is Very Good condition.

Cardy, Nick :Nick Cardy (born Nicholas Viscardi, October 20, 1920), a.k.a. Nick Cardi, is an American comic book artist best known for his DC Comics work on Aquaman (he designed Mera and Ocean Master), the Teen Titans and other major characters, and for his highly attractive rendering of female characters referred to by fans as "Cardy Babes". Cardy drew many covers for books including Superman, Action Comics, The Brave and the Bold, Batman, Flash, Ghosts, Witching Hour, Secret Origins, Superman's Pal Jimmy Olsen, World's Finest and 100 Page Giant comics. During the late 1960's, Nick helped Al Plastino on the Batman syndicated strip. He was inducted into the Comic Book Hall of Fame in 2005 .
