Description:
Robert Crumb Monster Greeting Cards #33 "You Look Like a Million Dollars" Illustration Original Art (Topps, 1965). "... All Green and Wrinkled!" Every kid in the neighborhood loved these wacky trading cards, with a nice illustration on the front and a "treated" photo of a girl or guy on the back with a zinger punch line. Robert did these card illustrations while moonlighting for Woody Gelman's Topps Gum Company in New York. This piece is in mixed media on a card measuring approximately 3.5" x 5". The R. Crumb signature was added in recent years by the artist. In Excellent condition.

Crumb, Robert:Robert Crumb was born on August 30, 1943 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He and his four brothers and sisters all produced home-made comics as children. Crumb's fist published work was as an artist for American Greetings cards. In 1967, Crumb moved to San Francisco, where he produced the first issue of Zap Comix, which kickstarted the entire Underground Comix movement. Among his famous creations are Fritz the Cat and Mr. Natural. He was the subject of Terry Zwigoff's 1994 documentary film, Crumb.
