Description:
Frank Miller and Klaus Janson Daredevil #181 "Last Hand" Splash Page 1 Original Art (Marvel, 1982). Offered here is an absolutely iconic piece of Daredevil art -- Bullseye's homicidal fantasy of delivering a killshot to the Man without Fear. Frank Miller is arguably the most celebrated superhero writer/artist to work during this period, and his work on Daredevil helped launch a comics revolution that still reigns nearly 20 years later. It's a Marvel masterwork that is "fresh to market," and primed to make its way into your collection. This spectacular splash showcases Frank Miller breakdowns with superb Klaus Janson finishes, and this unforgettable yarn was dedicated to the memory of comics legend Wally Wood. The piece has an image area of 10" x 13.75". Aside from two clipped corners (outside the image area), this senses-shattering splash is in Excellent condition. An acetate overlay with a "splatter pattern" is also included with this lot.

Miller, Frank:Frank Miller (American, b. 1957): is a multi-talented cartoonist, writer, and film director, most celebrated for his work on the Marvel characters Daredevil, Elektra, and Wolverine, as well as on his own characters for the Dark Horse titles Hard Boiled, 300, and Sin City. In the late eighties, Miler became the first and foremost of a new breed of "noir" comic book storytellers, thanks to the tremendous popularity of his work on the industry-changing Batman: The Dark Knight Returns series. He also directed the film version of Will Eisner's The Spirit, and shared directing duties with Robert Rodriguez on Sin City, and produced the film 300..
