Description:
John Romita Jr. and Dan Green Uncanny X-Men #197 Doctor Doom Cover Original Art (Marvel, 1985). In this yarn, the mischievous Arcade begs the X-Men to save him from the wrath of Doctor Doom. Is this a call for help, or another ploy by the nefarious gamesman? Either way, Colossus and Kitty aim to find out. Face front True Believers, and feast your eyes on John Romita Jr.'s scintillating X-Men cover, the first we have offered to date. The X-Men launched an all-out battle royal against Doctor Doom in the thriller, "To Save Arcade." The tableau showcased Cyclops, Colossus, Rogue, Kitty Pryde, Storm, Wolverine, and Nightcrawler as the team launched their seemingly ill-fated offensive against Doom. The image area of this Marvel masterwork measures 9.75" x 15". There was a stat of Doom's head (strangely, almost identical to the art) which has been removed and is included with this lot, and aside from some overall paper aging, the art is in Very Good condition. Don't miss out on your chance to win this JRJR milestone.
